Breaking News H1N1 Bullshit Alert

The President issued a National Emergency on the Swine Flu virus. What this means, I have no idea, but it means the waiver of certain federal mandates. Now, I have not known ANYONE, not 1 freaking person who has gotten sick with the flu, not one person. According to the map and the statistics I should know people dying all around me by now, but nope, nothing.

Last spring when this thing hit it was no problem, no one was dying. Then a couple died and it was from unrelated health issues. Now, 1,000 people died, give me a break. The thing has not mutated, it is not any more deadly than the regular flu. Guess what, even if the thing mutates, the vaccine will not even help, so what is the point of even getting the vaccine. I love a good conspiracy, but dismiss most of them as ridiculous, but most of the nut jobs said that they would make this vaccine mandatory and it looks like it is going to go that way, why?

This is weird, go look at the news story from the spring, they are on YouTube, and you tell me if I am crazy, but they all said it was no big deal. Now, it is a killer flu?? Come on, this is pure bullshit. Like I said, based on the map I should know of at least 3 or 4 people sick from the flu and that is not the case. I also do not know of anyone who got the shot, so go figure. Do you know of anyone sick? Do you know of anyone dead from this thing? Something is wrong with this story, it makes no sense. Just the mortality rate alone does not add up.

Come to Minnesota, 25% of the kids are out of the schools. Go to the doctors office and you will see the waiting room is full. Childrens Hospital is full. I had it two weeks ago and I am still sick. So it is not bullshit, it is a ass kicking like I have not felt since I drank a quart of Tequilla in college.
If you can get some Tamiflu, get it! It helps but is expensive and hard to get.

OK, that is the first non-government info I have heard. All I know is out of all the people I know in MA, CT, PA, CA, FL, and in between very few know of any one actually getting sick. I personally know of no one getting sick. I also feel that this is being way over blown as the mortality rate is so low in comparison to the regular flu. The news reports from 6 months ago down played everything, but now its the Spanish flu. Like you said, it knocks you down, but so does the regular flu. I just do not like where this is heading, that’s all. Based on the hyp I would think I would have seen more signs of a pandemic personally.

I will tell you people seem to have different reactions to this flu. It seems either it is not so bad or really bad. I got it really bad. My wife didn’t get out of bed for three weeks. The skin came off my face because my fever was so high. I am telling you again Goldpharma.com and get some Tamiflu. You might be wrong on this. i think it is bad and they don’t want people to panic.

I am not saying the illness is not bad, I know it is bad. What I am saying is according to what we are being told is that people should be dropping like flies all around us and I just do not see it, that’s all. The other part that I do not like is the series of laws that Bush signed into law over the last few years that I now seeing going into effect. Those laws will strip us of personal choice, like taking a vaccine that has barely been tested, IMHO. I also have a very different perspective on life and death than most and will not risk taking the vaccine since my white count blows, I am damned if I do, damned if I don’t.

So, my overall point is, you had it and your wife had it, that is the closest I have been to this thing. I know a lot of people and I find that odd considering I not only talk to people over a lot of states, but travel to Boston a lot as well. That is where my BS call comes in, I don’t see it spreading as fast as the government claims thats all.

    Ray,
Can you take the pneumovax shot? It is proven way to prevent pneumonia which is the complication that is most commonly killing people with the flu. My daughter got the H1N1 vaccine with out any ill effects.
The Minneapolis area has a widespread outbreak, I am worried about my business if they all get sick at once, we will be in trouble.

Due to the cancer crap, I can’t take many vaccinations. I actually have never had the flu shot and I am not sure if I ever even had the flu before. I am not really worried about the whole thing. I see lots of hype, I know its serious, I am just saying the government did not help when they said 90,000 people would die from it, that was a bit much. Even Fox news laughed about that one, which was kind of funny when you think about it, they blow everything out of proportion. I plan on using common sense. I have to go to Boston once a month and to the doctors 2 a month, so I hand sanitize like nuts when I go and stay away from people. Other than that I don’t go out much :-) . I might look into it, but probably not.

I guess I didn’t know about the cancer thing. Chemo can mess up the blood counts and immune system. I am sorry, I will pray for you. Maybe you can get a prescription to Tamiflu to have on hand.
You are smart to use the hand sanitizer, I am compulsive about it but I still got sick. I am supose to have a tumor taken off my vocal cords next week, but my immune system went out of whack after the flu and I broke out in cold sores. I look like a STD poster child.
By the way I love your CNBC stuff, I swear those people are all retarded , so it makes my day when you nail them. Keep up the good work.
    Tony
