Freedom is not a right, it is a privilege

A very powerful video from Karl Denninger, please watch and pass it on. It echoes my sentiment to the letter. If we are not outraged we are not patriots and my ancestors, who fought in the Revolutionary War, are turning over in their graves if they could see what they died for. It is time to do something about the system and there are three steps you should follow.

1. The most critical step! Stop supporting the corporations by shopping less and using locally owned stores. Most importantly use cash, real green cash not a debit or credit card. If you cannot afford something then you should not be buying it so don’t care it. If you charge it you are supporting s system designed to rip you off.
2. Vote against every incumbent running for office, they are all corrupt. Write your representatives to tell them your displeasure in their actions, calling works better because they do not read their emails.
3. Get out of debt. If you owe nothing then no one has leverage against you.

Haven’t you had enough? I am tired of hearing that this is how things work, it is not and should not be. If more people wakeup to the fact that the system is setup against the people, which is ironic since the system only works because of the people, only then can we get real change, change we can really believe in and make happen.

However, I guess all of us Americans have lost our stomachs for fighting for what is right. Am I right? Prove me wrong and stop this runaway government and break the control of the banking system. Enough is enough and while I advocate peaceful dissent it is important to realize that raising your voice is peaceful dissent. We need to raise our voices so they can be heard over the special interest groups or the corporations who line the pockets of our representatives so scream if you have to. People, this is our country I am talking about, our freedom is at stake, our way of life is at stake, your kids future is now leveraged far beyond what Lehman was leveraged at and how could you look them in the eye and tell them that you did everything within your power to make things happen when you probably didn’t lift a finger to change anything.

It is far more easy to sit back in a comfortable chair reading this than to actually go out and voice your dissent in public. However, if you do nothing, not one thing, to try and change the status quo then you do not have the right to complain about anything. People, your freedom is not a right, it is a privilege that can and will be taken away if you continue to do nothing. Yes, you will be branded a racist for disagreeing with the president, but no one said dissent was easy and you must ignore what Chris Mathews thinks or Keith Olberman. Those clowns can only say what they say because people like my relatives got off their asses and put some skin, and blood, into the game. They died so you can be free, how are you going to repay them? The choice is yours.
