Advice to cope with arthritis
Posted On 02/19/2010 19:48:29 by watches2010

While most people are enjoying an indulgent New Year, millions of arthritis sufferers are left in agony.

That is why a leading arthritis charity has come up with some worthy advice to help people cope with their condition this winter: Layer your clothing to conserve heat and peel off the top layer if you go into a warm room.

You lose heat through the top of the head, throat, and the wrists, so wear a Replica Breguet hat, scarf and gloves in cold weather. If your joints are too swollen for fingered gloves, try mittens instead.

Fake A Lange & Sohne Wear waterproof boots or shoes. Try Velcro fastenings and heated insoles.

Programme heating efficiently (the NHS recommends 21 [degrees]C in living rooms during the day and 18 [degrees]C in the bedroom at night).

An electric blanket or a covered hot water bottle - but not both together - can relieve stiff aching joints
embroidered patches and backs. Don't skip hot drinks and nutritious meals in the cold weather. Use the microwave to heat up ready-meals and have soup if you can't manage anything more - it is cheering, filling, and nutritious. Buy a few extra supplies each shopping trip to build up a store of essentials such as lightbulbs and tea.
